The Whistler Transportation Action Plan identified a need for free and secure bicycle parking. These bicycle parking pilot programs are funded through parking revenue from Day Lots 1 to 5 courtesy of the Resort Municipality of Whistler and Whistler Blackcomb through the Community Transportation Initiative Fund.
Bike Valet: attended, secure bike and gear parking
The summer 2024 Bike Valet service, at Whistler Olympic Plaza, Lost Lake Park and Rainbow Park on weekends and special event days from the end of June through Labour Day has ended. See you in summer 2025!
This service is partly funded through pay parking lot fees.

Bike racks in Whistler
There are bike racks located at all Whistler parks and around the Village. There are covered bike racks located in the underground lot at Whistler public library in Whistler Village year-round.
Smart, secure bike parking racks
Earlier this summer, smart app-activated bike parking stations with e-bike charging docks were installed. This is part of a trial program designed to provide safe, secure and convenient bike parking at three key locations:
- Whistler Olympic Village
- Meadows Park Sports Centre
- Blackcomb Lodge
How this free secure bike parking works:
- Download the Bikeep app.
- Scan the QR code on the station in Whistler.
- Secure your bike.
- Enjoy Whistler car-free.
- And repeat!
Secure Bike Parking in Whistler Village at Whistler Library Underground Lot
We currently have 40 keys for the facility.
Underground bike storage application
An application form must be submitted prior to using the Whistler Library underground bike storage. A $25 refundable deposit is required before a key will be issued.
- Complete the Apply to use the Secure Bike parking in the Library Underground lot in 2023/24.
- Email the completed form to transit@whistler.ca for review.
You will then receive an email with instructions to pick up your access key to the Library underground bike parking.
Application forms are also available at the Customer Service desk at Municipal Hall (4325 Blackcomb Way).

Active transportation: Evolve E-Bike Share Program
To promote active transportation, an e-bike share program became available for residents of Whistler.
There are e-bike parking stations located throughout the valley in neighborhoods and at popular amenities and parks (in spring/summer/fall). Check out the details at evo.ca/evolve.
