Celebrate the last night of the year surrounded by the energy of the mountains and the spirit of this community. Whistler’s New Year’s Eve brings people together with activities that invite you to move, connect, and take in the winter atmosphere.

Leave the car at home and reach your celebratory destinations with the complimentary Whistler Transit service. Free service is available all day.

New Year’s Eve morning yoga

Get clear and vibrant for the year ahead with Emily Kane, the author of “The Energy and Art of Restorative Yoga.” Explore meditation, breathwork, and a physical yoga practice that helps you embody your intention for the new year. This practice will be accessible to all levels and offer options for anyone who is healing from an injury. 

Time: 9 – 10 a.m. 

Location: Whistler Conference Centre, Garibaldi Room, 4010 Whistler Way 

Register in advance with a minimum $20 donation benefiting Whistler Community Services. Please arrive 15 minutes early and bring your own mat. A limited number of mats will be available to borrow.

Wintersphere: Indoor fun!

We bring the fun inside at Wintersphere, with a day packed full of activities and entertainment for all ages. From hands-on experiences for little ones to engaging games and performances for older kids and adults, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day.

Outdoor Skating at Whistler Olympic Plaza 

Outdoor skating at Olympic Plaza provides a quintessential winter experience in the heart of the village, framed by twinkling trees and Whistler’s majestic mountain skyline.

Times: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 2:30 to 5 p.m., 6 to 8:30 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Après Sound Bath Experience 

Experience deep relaxation and restoration through sound, vibration, and breath in this 60-minute immersive journey. Begin with a short, guided meditation, then let crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and other instruments wash over you, nourishing your body and mind.

Time: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Luminosity Parade  

A variety of dynamic LED dancers and characters from the Whistler community kick off the evening festivities, bringing a lively mix of music and energy as a fun warm-up to the Fire and Ice show. Find your spot along the Village Stroll and join the procession as it dances its way to Skier’s Plaza.

Parade route: Whistler Conference Centre to Skier’s Plaza on the Whistler Village Stroll.  

Parade time: The parade will begin at 7:45 p.m.

Fire & Ice Remix  

After the Luminosity Parade, head to Skier’s Plaza for a high-energy New Year’s Eve show filled with music, lights, and live entertainment. Ski and snowboard jumping will run if conditions allow, and the night wraps with an early countdown and a brilliant fireworks display to light up the sky.

Time: 8:30 – 9 p.m. 

Location: Skier’s Plaza, base of Whistler Mountain. 

Cost: Free! 

New Year’s Eve Fireworks 

The evening festivities conclude with a spectacular early fireworks show, lighting up the sky with vibrant colors and energy to celebrate the new year.
