Secure bicycle parking
Whistler’s Transportation Action Plan and Big Moves climate action strategy both identified secure bike parking as a priority. To assist, the RMOW has been offering seasonal bike valet services, adding bike racks (including new secure e-bike charging racks), adding a secure bike storage locker, partnering to offer e-bike share programs, and more.
Bike racks
There are bike racks located at Whistler parks and throughout Whistler village. Covered racks are located in the underground at Whistler Public Library.
Free, secure bike parking is available in Village Square, Olympic Plaza, and at the Meadow Park Sports Centre. Racks are equipped with outlets for e-bike charging. To use, download the Bikeep app and follow the instructions.
Free Bike Valet
Attended, secure bike and gear parking (seasonal from mid-June to Labour Day).

Walk safe
- Dress to be seen: Wear reflective clothing or gear and carry a flashlight to make it easier for drivers to see you. Attach a snowflake reflector to your jacket or backpack. Reflectors are available free from Municipal Hall reception and Meadow Park Sports Centre.
- Look: Always make eye contact with drivers. Never assume that a driver has seen you. Always walk facing traffic.
- Listen: Focus your full attention on what’s happening around you. Remove your headphones and don’t text on your phone while crossing the road.
- Be extra cautious at intersections: Watch for vehicles turning left or right through the crosswalk.
- Cross at designated crosswalks: Follow pedestrian signs and traffic signals and never cross once the signal has turned yellow or red.
