Navigating your job search with the RMOW just got easier.

The RMOW employs close to 600 people, who work in departments covering everything from snow removal to legislative services, lifeguarding to parks planning, and everything in between. Last year, 188 applicants were hired, joining our team of public servants who keep the municipality running and thriving.

As the second largest employer in Whistler, it’s important that the right job search tools are in place to support this process. With this in mind, we are excited to announce our HR team has launched a brand-new recruitment and onboarding portal. The enhancements will make the recruitment process more seamless, efficient, and ultimately more engaging for people looking to start their careers, or tackle a new role, at the RMOW.

Overall, the launch of this new portal is a part of our commitment to improving our online services and the user experience on whistler.ca (stay tuned for our full website relaunch, coming soon!).

What does this mean for job seekers?

If you have applied for a position with us prior to March 31, you do not need to re-apply. All current applications will still be considered, so you are all set.

For current and new job seekers, you can now view, apply for, and check the status of, all open job opportunities through your account with Workforce Now (WFN), our new software provider.

Here’s how the job application process works:

  • Clicking on a job opportunity will take you to the RMOW’s new Career Centre. In future, you can go directly to the Career Centre to see all job listings.
  • To apply for a position, click on the blue “Apply” button.
  • You will be redirected to the “Join Our Talent Community” page where you can sign in to start your application.
  • Once you’ve applied, you’ll be able to find the posting status for the roles you’ve applied for in the “My Applications” tab.

For more information about the applications process, details are available on whistler.ca.
