Grizzly Bear Notice – shared on behalf of the Conservation Officer Service (COS)
On Saturday, September 2, the Conservation Officer Service received a report of a grizzly bear in the Rainbow Lake area.
Residents and visitors to the Rainbow Lake area are reminded that this is Grizzly Bear habitat and to take caution when using trails.
Carrying bear spray with you when hiking and hiking in groups of 4+ can help in a bear encounter. Please report all sightings of grizzly bears to the Conservation Office Service: 1-877-952-7277.
