Whistler-Pemberton RCMP Victim Services Program

Whistler Victim Services is a police-based referral program that provides support to victims of crime and trauma in Whistler. Our staff assist clients impacted by a wide range of incidents including:

  • intimate partner violence
  • sexual assault
  • fraud
  • suicide
  • sudden death
  • violent assaults
  • criminal harassment

After a crime has been committed, Whistler Victim Services staff assist by helping clients understand their victim rights as they navigate the criminal justice system.

We Provide:

  • crisis support
  • Information regarding status of the police investigation
  • general information about the criminal justice system
  • case-specific court updates

Referrals for:

  • counselling services
  • community agencies
  • other police or victim services agencies
  • crime prevention programs
  • agencies for legal assistance with civil matters

Practical Assistance

  • safety planning
  • liaising with Police and Crown Counsel
  • court orientation and accompaniment
  • assistance with the completion of Victim Impact Statements
  • assistance with the completion of Crime Victim Assistance Program applications
